The majority of Americans are of the opinion that the current bailout, now estimated at almost two trillion dollars, has done nothing to ease the mortgage crisis or help the average citizen. In fact, several economists have labeled the current bailout as transferring America’s wealth to the wealthy, while the average American goes deeper into debt, millions are losing their homes to foreclosure, and the ranks of the poor are growing each and every day. While our corporations are coming to the Congress with their hats in hand, the average citizen is being ignored and driven into the depths of poverty – and our worthless Congress still gives taxpayer money to the rich while destroying America’s economy and standard of living.

We are told, over and over again, that our banks are failing because of lower housing prices and the huge number of foreclosures; we are also told that our dependence on foreign oil is causing the United States to rely on foreign powers to sustain our economy, some of which are NOT friends of the United States – and there’s no realistic end in sight. I say it’s propaganda and pure, unadulterated Bullsh*t – and I can prove it!

The United States has already spent almost two trillion dollars on a bailout that isn’t working. One Thousand Billion Dollars equals one trillion dollars, therefore, ONE-HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS IS ONLY FIVE PERCENT OF TWO TRILLION DOLLARS! Let that minuscule amount, as compared to a two-trillion dollars settle in your minds for a while, and then remember that the approximate population of the United States is a little over three-hundred million people, and if we break that down into households, based on an average size of three people per household, that equates to approximately one-hundred million households. I’m not sure of what the single rate in the United States is, however, for the sake of this estimate, let’s add another five to twenty million individuals that are over the age of eighteen whom live on their own (That figure could be much higher, I’m not sure…), and that includes the disabled and seniors. (For those who live in rest homes, assisted living centers and prisons will not be considered – as they do not qualify for the bailout I’m proposing.)

Stay with me for a while, as this gets complicated. Have Congress set-up a non-profit organization that deposits five-hundred thousand dollars per household and $200,000 per individual in non-interest bearing accounts – and this money WILL NOT be invested in stocks, bonds, or any type of speculative accounts. In order to keep our banks and financial system healthy, calculate the remainder of payments on all existing mortgages for families that earn less than $300,000.00 per year, and the “trust fund” would make payments on those mortgages until the economy recovers – re-finance the loans at 15 years, and raise the interest rates from 6% to 8 % – not the over-inflated variable mortgage rates that caused this crisis – and pay the banks on a monthly basis.

These will not be “open-accounts.” The money will be used exclusively for mortgage payments, purchasing new homes (To be financed for 10-15 years instead of thirty.), hybrid cars, and for those who are below the poverty level, food and clothing until they can find jobs. Funds will also be available for home improvements that help to turn standard houses into environmentally friendly homes, solar panels for hot water, better insulation, energy efficient florescent light bulbs, energy efficient appliances and the wide array of new technology that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

In addition, mandate that at least 80% of these funds are spent on AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS! (This will help to revitalize America’s manufacturing sector.) Also, require an instant freeze on housing prices so the money is well spent and the wealthy speculators who have been wrecking havoc on our economy do not profit from this bailout. All of the above purchases above $1,000.00 should be financed , again to help the financial sector remain healthy and grow. Those who participate in this program will not be able to quit their jobs, and those who do not have jobs will be required to find one – and with President-Elect Obama’s pledge to create 2.5 million new jobs, that shouldn’t be an issue. In addition, corporations should be taxed – not with less tax as the Bush administration rammed-down our throats, but a fair tax that places them on equal footing with the rest of America.

People would have to stay employed to pay their home owner’s insurance, auto insurance, utilities and food – and they could afford to purchase the health insurance that has been promised to America at reasonable rates. This bailout also pays for itself; food stamp usage would drop by 70 to 80% (if not more), the burden on our medical system would lessen, current Medicare recipients could afford higher premiums, and realistically, taxes could be raised to help pay for the ineffective bailout that has already failed. It is absurd that we expect to pull-out from this financial crisis without raising taxes to pay off our debts.

I propose that “households” have $500,000 dollars credited to their individual accounts, and individuals receive $200,000.00. Remember, these funds can only be accessed as they are needed to instantly halt the mortgage crisis, provide housing to families that are struggling to survive, and just as importantly, revitalize America’s auto industry by forcing them to manufacture hybrids, not the gas guzzlers that are destroying the environment and making the oil companies and their shareholders wealthy at the expense of the middle-class and poor – who are the one’s whom are taking it on the chin while our government is spending absurd amounts of money on a financial crisis that was designed to transfer America’s wealth to the top 1% of our population. Furthermore, by financing items over $1,000.00, we guarantee that banks and other lending institutions also make profits, thus propping-up our banking system the old fashioned way – by loaning money at reasonable rates with a guarantee they will be paid.

Call me crazy if you like, but current estimates are that the current financial bailout – which isn’t working, is now at almost two trillion dollars, and the only people it has benefited has been the wealthy and corporations. Even if my estimates run two times as high, America’s struggling middle-class and poor should deserve 5% of that amount, and this would jump-start the economy in a way that reduces our dependence on foreign oil, helps to bring back America’s manufacturing sector, saves the automobile industry and will raise the standard of living back to where it was before our government and corporations decided to plunder and rape America.

William Cormier

NOTE: They are many more “details to this plan, however, if you analyze the plan with an open mind, it benefits the economy as a whole, not just the “carpetbaggers” who ultimately have run this nation into the ground. The people deserve a real bailout, not a token three or four hundred dollars. Unlike the so-called bailout of the Bush administration, this money would go directly into the American economy instead of into the pockets of those who are responsible for the financial crisis we now face.

Prior to the earthquakes in China and Iran, unique clouds labeled as “Earthquake Clouds” were seen in both locations prior to each earthquake. A few of these clouds seem to be “line Clouds, however, the first one is a cloud formation like nothing I’ve ever witnessed in my 58 years on this earth.

Can anyone identify these clouds, especially the first one I’m posting. They were just shot a few minutes ago – so if they are indeed the fabled “Earthquake Clouds”, I’m guessing we will know soon enough…

Unfortunately, my darkest fears have now become a reality. The greed of Wal-Mart, who led America’s outsourcing and forced other corporations to do the same to stay competitive has allowed China to become a major military power, and their attacks on the United States are escalating, now with dire consequences:

China winning cyber war, Congress warned

Panel says China in a position to delay or disrupt the deployment of America’s military forces around the world

China is aggressively developing its power to wage cyber warfare and is now in a position to delay or disrupt the deployment of America’s military forces around the world, potentially giving it the upper hand in any conflict, a panel of the US Congress has warned.

The panel’s report discloses an alarming increase in incidents of Chinese computer attacks on the US government, defense companies and businesses. It notes that China now has both the intent and capability to launch cyber attacks “anywhere in the world at any time”.

China’s ability to wage cyber warfare is now “so sophisticated that the US may be unable to counteract or even detect the efforts” (Emphasis added), the report warns.
Given the dependence on the internet of key sectors of US public life, from the federal government and military to water treatment, social security and the electricity grid, “a successful attack on these internet-connected networks could paralyze the US”. MUCH MORE

When you finish reading the above article in it’s entirety, the intent of the Chinese is obvious; they appear to be stealing the bulk of America’s military secrets – and according to the UK Guardian, China has successfully stolen “up to 20 terabytes of data — twice the amount stored in the entire print collection of the Library of Congress.” The Chinese appear to be readying themselves to render the United States defenseless if and when they choose to do so, and based on their successes – they are in a position to do it at will, which is a breach of national security that staggers the imagination. It’s also noteworthy these facts are not found in America’s mainstream news media. As usual, the greed of America’s corporations are profit orientated and none choose to expose China for their continued cyber attacks and theft of vital military technology that continues and escalates by the day.

CNN has reported that:

“China is poised to have more impact on the world over the next 20 years than any other country,” it notes.

The report projects that China will have the world’s second largest economy by 2025 and will be a leading military power.

Equally problematic for U.S. policymakers is the fact that China is expected to become the world’s biggest polluter and largest importer of natural resources. LINK

CNN offers a reminder that China is a growing military power, however, ignores the seriousness of the vulnerable infrastructure of our computer networks which China has infiltrated and used to undermine and could use to render the U.S. almost defenseless if and when a conflict finally emerges. Even more unsettling is the military alliance that Russia and China have created, obviously in response to the imperialism and warmongering of the Bush administration. Much more information has been withheld from the American public – and some of it nullifies many of our current offense/defense capabilities:

Xiandai Junshi (Modern Military) magazine, 2003, #6:

“Along with multiple achievements in the Iraqi war, American forces suffered some setbacks. Among the launched long-range cruise missiles, four units greatly missed targets inside Iraq, two units fell in Turkey, and several units fell in Saudi Arabia. “Now it is evident that electronic interference can influence the flight of these missiles. Particularly, Russian-made cheap interference devices, which spoil the positioning signals of American GPS systems, could be the major factor here. Research and development of interference devices spoiling the signals of GPS systems could become [for China] a trend in the development of weapons capable of opposing non-contact operational weapons.

“The recognition system of American precision-guided weapons is also imperfect. American and British military aircraft often made mistakes in differentiating between ‘our side’ and the enemy. Using ‘confusing fake and real’ methods against these recognition systems also attracted the attention of world military specialists [primarily Chinese].” (end of quote) LINK

In this author’s opinion, China’s unrelenting cyber attacks and theft of valuable civil and military technology cannot go unanswered. To me, there is only one answer; we must stop allowing unmitigated greed and profit to undermine our national security. The cyber attacks which are designed to undermine our entire defense/offense capability has been driven by corporate America’s outsourcing. It’s time for the American people to understand that when we succumb to cheap Chinese imports because of our economic situation, we are supporting a country whose intentions are dubious at best – and at worst an attempt to destroy our country should a serious conflict ever arise.

The United States cannot survive as a “service based” economy. It is imperative that the Obama administration understand that we must quit relying on cheap foreign imports and revitalize our core industries – and to do less is to guarantee our eventual downfall. President-Elect Obama stated in several of his campaign speeches that Americans will be called upon to sacrifice, and I’m hoping that the Obama team understands that when our economy is tanking, Americans should reinvent our manufacturing sector and make it a matter of patriotism to “buy American.” In this case, the best price is not the best deal, and in order to rebuild this nation, we must revitalize our manufacturing capability and manufacture the bulk of our goods at home, not abroad.

Outsourcing, corporate greed, the Iraq War and Wall Street’s failures to protect the American people are the reasons our economy is failing. Without revitalizing our manufacturing sector and choosing the lowest priced goods we can import is destroying every segment of our economy, and with that comes a serious breach of our national security. The road ahead is rocky and uphill, however, if we choose the easy way out – it might be time to begin teaching Chinese to our children so they can exist in a nation that has sold it’s soul to those who smile like they are friends, but whose ultimate goal is to destroy the America we have fought and died for throughout our history.

Start enforcing our anti-trust laws, stop outsourcing what little industry we have left, bring back our manufacturing sector, and most importantly, understand that buying American is the only way to rebuild the economy of the United States. We face a daunting challenge, but in the words of President-Elect Obama, “YES WE CAN!”

On election day in a Georgia Middle School, students were asked to participate in the Presidential election in their classes by voting for McCain or NObama, a psychological pun that was obviously meant to indicate that voting for Obama was wrong. The portrayal of NObama and Obama Bin Laden was written in by students who had obviously been influenced by their parents – not particularly surprising in a white dominated Republican area. While angry at the negative portrayal of now President-Elect Obama, I felt it wasn’t worth mentioning because of the mandate that Obama received from the general electorate; I was wrong. Those in the GOP that have forgotten what our constitution embodies and continue to slam a President that hasn’t even taken office are setting the stage to resist anything and everything the American people came out in droves to accomplish – and to remain silent, as the MSM is doing, is another long list of failures of the MSM to expose and chastise racism in the United States. Much to their credit, the teachers attempted to explain how comparing Obama to Osama Bin Laden was wrong, but children are influenced more by their parents than at at school – which demonstrates that racism and bigotry appear to be alive and well throughout the United States.

The school bus in Idaho whose students were chanting “assassinate Obama” were elementary students, again an example of children who were mirroring conversations they had heard from their parents. (IMO) This story appeared on RAW Story, and reading the accompanying comments were almost as bad, if not worse than the story itself! For so-called Democrats, Liberals and Progressives to suggest that “nuking” this den of anti-Obama rednecks is appropriate is mirroring the Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter types that began this extremist dialogue in the first place – and to me, it places them in the same vein of those who we have finally voted out of office. If this busload of children were chanting for President Bush’s assassination, there’s no doubt each student and their parents would have been scrutinized by the Secret Service, but as long as Bush is in office – this appears to be acceptable behavior.

Also, not surprisingly in Vay, Idaho, “The Secret Service is investigating a sign erected by a northern Idaho landowner that advertises a “free public hanging” of President-elect Barack Obama and other political figures.” Unfortunately, the bulk of the comments I have read are blaming these outbursts in Idaho on the Mormons – which I believe is incorrect. I was raised in the Mormon Church, and even though I am no longer a practicing Mormon and quit being active in the 1970′s, none of this behavior is consistent with the teachings of the LDS Church. Mormons are taught they must comply with the “law of the land”, and for the most part, are one of the most strict religions that I’m personally aware of; Mormons are not allowed to drink alcohol, caffeine, and are taught to respect the family unit and care for their own – which they do better than any church in existence, even now some 30 years since I was a member. Travel back to the era of Howard Hughes; his personal guards were almost 100% Mormon, not because they were necessarily the best as far as security was concerned, but because of their legendary morals and honesty. Thousands of Mormons work in Las Vegas Casinos, again based on their morals, their unwavering commitment not to consume alcohol, and their record for being almost beyond corruption. As a whole, Mormons have the reputation of being some of the most honest and dependable employees in the United States – a fact that is unequaled among other religions. A Mormon that supports the assassination of Barack Obama is not a true believer – and therefore should not be labeled as a “Mormon.” While I now disagree with many of the beliefs of the Mormon Church, I still respect the Mormon people who diligently follow their faith – and based on personal knowledge – I can assure you it IS NOT Mormon’s in Idaho that support Barack Obama’s assassination. We should all remember that Idaho has for years been a stronghold of white supremacists – and even though many in the state are Mormons, they aren’t the ones who are advocating harm to our President-Elect. (IMO) The one factor I have never understood about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is their unwavering support of the Republican party; all Christians consider the Mormon religion to be a cult, and when it comes to the Presidency, a Mormon has as much chance of being elected President as a serial killer – yet they still allow themselves to be manipulated by the GOP.

Two days ago, Georgia’s NAACP says Obama’s election has resulted in ‘acts of intimidation and retaliation’. As examples of such behavior, they cited several examples – and below are several examples listed in their report:

— African-American parents are reporting that their kids – from elementary to high school -are being verbally and physically harassed by their white classmates while their teachers turn the other way.

— Teachers and principals have told students that they cannot in any way discuss President-elect Obama and the election or they will face disciplinary action, even though prior to Nov. 4, teachers held regular class discussions on the upcoming election.

— At the workplace, employees are being ordered by their employers not to mention the name Obama or the election.

— One worker was told to move her car out of the company parking lot because she had an Obama bumper sticker on her vehicle.

— Both African-American students and employees are reporting that they’re receiving all kinds of slights, cold shoulders, and uncomfortable stares from their white classmates and colleagues.

The icing on the cake comes from “A South Carolina Roman Catholic priest who told his parishioners that they should refrain from receiving Holy Communion if they voted for Barack Obama because the Democratic president-elect supports abortion, and supporting him “constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil.” Considering that 54% of Catholics voted for Obama in South Carolina, apparently, thousands of “souls” would appear to be at risk – an idea that is as absurd as the proclamation by the Priest that issued the edict.

You will find few, if any of these stories on the mainstream news media. As usual, the “corporatists” in the MSM prefer to allow the anti-Obama backlash to grow rather than exposing it for the bigotry it is.
It appears the GOP is fostering, by and through their public attack dogs, an atmosphere of hate and disrespect for our President-Elect. As one commenter on RAW Story stated, “I’m sick of the lowest common denominators of society setting the tone of this country.” I share his sentiments; if these remarks had been against President Bush, several people would now rightfully be incarcerated. It’s time for the country to understand the purveyors of hate and racism have been rejected by the American public – and if they keep it up, their actions can only be described as subversive – and that’s a crime under the rule of law which most of us honor and cherish.

William Cormier

NOTE: After this story was written, there was more, and unless it is checked, rather than diminish, it will continue to grow. Those who choose racism and bigotry over equality and our belief in the rule of law, Obama’s Presidency will be derailed by hate and ignorance – the founding principles of the GOP.

Something’s wrong in the GOP – and I don’t see them ready to concede the election, however, with Sarah Palin refusing to call abortion clinic bombers “terrorists” and the many other gaffes that have mired her campaigning – the GOP and even Palin’s advisers are in disagreement and disarray. There’s no doubt that Palin is dragging down McCain – and with the release of the below story, it suggests that even McCain is not able to control a VP contender that refuses to take orders from the Presidential nominee himself (through his proxies). What will they do?

Palin allies report rising camp tension

By BEN SMITH – Politico.com

Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image — even as others in McCain’s camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance, for McCain’s decline.

“She’s lost confidence in most of the people on the plane,” said a senior Republican who speaks to Palin, referring to her campaign jet. He said Palin had begun to “go rogue” in some of her public pronouncements and decisions.

“I think she’d like to go more rogue,” he said. MUCH MORE

If you’re John McCain and watch the ship sinking before it reaches harbor, what could be done to energize and breathe new life into the campaign – and leave the electorate without enough time to debate or face the scrutiny any public official would normally face in a Presidential election. “What if” the McCain camp dumps Palin in a last ditch effort to completely confuse the electorate, likely today or tomorrow?

Imagine if Palin was dumped and traded in for Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee on a moments notice, and think of the stirrings of conservative America as they are given an alternative to a Presidential ticket that reeks of incompetence and mismanagement. Given McCain’s age and health, which he won’t release to the public (His health.), mean that either of the above could turn this race into a mass of confusion – an “October Surprise” that could take both parties by surprise. How would conservatives who have rallied against McCain react? Both of the above candidates represent the epitome of “conservative philosophy” and the re-emergence of religion into politics on a scale heretofore unheard of…

Even though it’s almost unprecedented, a move on this scale would provide the cover necessary to steal another election. To all who oppose the failed policies of the Bush administration – Beware! This election isn’t over yet – and there’s absolutely nothing that I would put past the GOP to win this election which threatens the short-term existence of the GOP as a viable party.

William Cormier

NOTE: Also, add this article for your consideration which I hadn’t seen before I wrote the above:

Palin’s ‘going rogue,’ McCain aide says

Dana Bash, Peter Hamby and John King
CNN

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) — With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue.”

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls — recorded messages often used to attack a candidate’s opponent — “irritating” even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign’s decision to pull out of Michigan. MUCH MORE

Is it possible the MSM is readying America for a change in John McCain’s VP choice, and can he legally change at this point of the game? If he does make the change, this will be an election that will be in total disarray; I’m hoping that intelligent people will recognize it as a political ploy rather than a “shrewd decision” by John McCain.

This may be the shortest article I have ever written, however find it necessary for people to grasp when we hear that electronic voting machines are “flipping votes” from Democratic to Republican. Many of our elder voters and those that don’t understand computers or electronic data recording devices need to understand that these are not really “glitches” – but evidence of voter fraud that is being perpetrated by the GOP, no shock to anyone that has witnessed two (2) stolen elections.

A computer or electronic voting machine, which is far less sophisticated than an actual computer is pure simplicity to those who understand programming and the elementary basics of how these electronics work. First, they respond to how they were programmed – period! When a voting machine switches your vote for a Democratic Candidate to a Republican Candidate, it’s because the machine was programmed to do exactly that. There is no A.I. (artificial intelligence) in 99% of computers, and is wholly exempt from voting machines. These machines, provided by our “corapacy” run on proprietary software that the manufacturers claim is intellectual property and therefore qualify as “trade secrets” which are not open to public scrutiny. Placing something as sacred as the right to vote on privately made equipment that refuses to release their code essentially gives-up our right to fair and impartial elections.

The counting is being done by those who are NOW in power – the GOP. It’s not who cast the votes who hold the actual power, but those who will eventually tally the results, an operation that is almost exclusively in the hands of the GOP. When a voter comes across a system that “flips” his vote to the other party, that system should be taken out of service immediately, not allowed to keep running and “hoping” that it won’t flip any more votes. It will, as that’s the way it was programmed, or is the alternative, modified (hacked) to fulfill the GOP’s intent to steal another election.

Computers and other electronic devices do not have a mind of their own, and when your vote is flipped, you have encountered a system that has been tampered with, either through being hacked or by the manufacturer itself. I urge any voter that comes into contact with voting machines that flip your vote to raise holly hell and demand that the machine be taken out of service immediately. That particular system will continue to flip votes, and if people aren’t careful, their much needed vote could wind-up being for the opposition, not the candidate you intended to vote for.

Vigilance and the guts to raise hell when you come across compromised equipment could help to save this election, but it will only happen if the public understands they are witnessing fraud, not computer glitches.

Yesterday evening, before the debate and a dinner engagement I had, I tuned into CNN’s “Prime News” to get a feel for the debate that I would eventually miss. As usual, two pundits of the so-called “best political team in America” were discussing the previous debates and what needed to be fielded in last night’s debate.

In fair and balanced reporting, one pundit usually represents the Democratic Candidate and the other analyzes the Republican Candidate – and both usually have opinions slanted for their particular candidate. The public is supposedly shown the interpretive argument and talking points of the two candidates. Last night was different, and if one of the pundits was representing the Democratic point of view – it didn’t show and was generally a session of attempting to provide rationale for McCain’s previous behavior, and what he needed to do in this debate to change his sagging poll numbers. Whether either candidate decided to ramp-up the negativity in the upcoming debate, it wasn’t needed. CNN made sure that Ayers and the allegation(s) in regard ACORN were well known before the debate began as they participated in a “fair and balanced” discussion that was neither. It was an Obama slug fest, carefully orchestrated by CNN to prime the public for what they appeared to know what was coming, more negativity and leaving the real issues on the sidelines.

I switched the channel and tuned-in the Situation Room and was pleased to see Wolf Blitzer interviewing Donald Trump, who appeared to surprise Wolf Blitzer when he stated that Bush should have been impeached for leading us into a fraudulent war. Blitzer attempted to leap to the administration’s defense and stated they had received bad intelligence – which Donald Trump very clearly stated he believed was a downright lie. The theme of Trump’s rhetoric was that Bush lied and people died – and he compared Bill Clinton’s sexual encounter as minute when we take into consideration the breadth of the crimes President Bush has perpetrated upon the nation – and Trump stated clearly that it would be good for the nation if Bush was impeached.. Wolf Blitzer is a former AIPAC Lobbyist, and for me, the best part of the interview was watching a wide-eyed Blitzer get hammered with truth and facts about this President that too many people are hesitant to point-out on national television. In fact, Donald Trump, who is well respected in the United States, stood-up for his beliefs and obviously shocked CNN as well as those who had invited him to be interviewed on the Situation Room – and the shock on Blitzer’s wide-eyed face was priceless.

Understanding the Mainstream News Medias support of McCain is easy. A recent report stated that “74% of CEOs Believe Obama Would Be Disastrous for the Nation.” Seventy-four percent is a staggering figure, and when you understand the bulk of corporate America is against Obama, it then is easy to understand why the “Corporate Media” is doing their best to slant their coverage to favor McCain:

74% of CEOs Believe Obama Would Be Disastrous for the Nation

By Noel Sheppard
October 9, 2008 – 10:29 ET

With the nation in the middle of what is being regularly reported as the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, a new poll found that 74 percent of America’s top business leaders fear “an Obama presidency would be disastrous for the country.”

Don’t be surprised if you didn’t hear about this, for virtually no major mainstream press outlet felt it was important to share with the public.

Do you think Obama-loving media would be so apathetic if this poll found an overwhelming majority of business leaders were scared about what a McCain presidency would do to the economy?

Despite the answer, our supposedly impartial press seem totally disinterested in Chief Executive magazine’s just-released survey which found some CEOs worried that if implemented “[Obama's] programs would bankrupt the country within three years” MUCH MORE

I imagine the CEO’s are fearful of an Obama Presidency; we’ve literally paid out hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation to CEO’s who have overseen the destruction of their own companies and contributed to the economic crisis we now face, and they know that under an Obama Presidency, that practice will be halted. I think that Wall Street and several of America’s banks are unnerved at the prospect of making money the old fashioned way – by working and amassing profits through responsible business practices that will be judged on their performance, and if they lose, will not walk away being paid with ridiculous “Golden Parachutes” for essentially overseeing a company’s downfall.

You can tell the right-wing conservatives and Neo-conservatives are panicking, and in doing do, are inadvertently demonstrating to the United States how vile and hateful they are. Instead of focusing on the issues that pose a struggling economy for years to come, the hate purveyors are working full time to rile-up the uneducated and fearful within our nation. Rush Limbaugh, in a rant I haven’t read since the days of George Wallace and the beginning of the civil right’s era, attacked blacks in what can only be described as hate speech, and in my opinion, the type of rhetoric that eventually leads to violence:

Rush Limbaugh Says Angry Blacks Are In 30 Year Plot To Train Black Children as Militants | Crooks and Liars

By John Amato Tuesday Oct 14, 2008 5:20pm

Limbaugh: We know that technological advancement is going along at light speed. And yet during this period of time, whether it be the last 57 years or be it the last 20 years, it seems that a majority of the black population has remained angry, frustrated, and behind. They’ve been left behind. They are acting like they’ve been left behind, and of course we’ve heard that this is because of racism, natural systemic institutional racism in America, that we are unfair, that this country is just horrible and rotten.

…The federal government became the father. The father didn’t have to hang around in order for the kids to be okay, depending on how you define okay. But as you study more and more of this ACORN stuff, you find that it has been part of an entire movement that has been going on for two, maybe three decades, right under our noses.

We thought that it was just liberal welfare policies and all that that kept blacks from progressing while other minorities grew and prospered, but no, it is these wackos from Bill Ayers to Jeremiah Wright to other anti-American Afrocentric black liberation theologists with ACORN, and Barack Obama is smack dab in the middle of it, they have been training young black kids to hate, hate, hate this country, and they trained their parents before that to hate, hate, hate this country. It was a movement. It was a Bill Ayers, anti-capitalist, anti-American educational movement. ACORN is how it was implemented, right under our noses.
It has been a movement, it has been a religion, and Obama and Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers were all up to their big ears in it.

A C&Ler emailed and said:

They’re desperate. And they can’t say it themselves, so they hire people who can. Rush, in this particular break, had just finished with a nice chat with the person who accused Barack Obama of “pallin’ around with terrorists.” And he went from that conversation … to his little theory about Black Madrassas out to rise up and kill us all. Does it get any sicker? I’m afraid it might with them.

The influence of right wing hate radio has never been more evident than what we have been witnessing now. And it will get worse, much worse. These talkies like Limbaugh are giving their listeners permission to engage in violent acts. It’s out in the open, on display right before our eyes. MORE

I’m fifty-seven years old and have lived in the deep south for most of my adult life. His comments angered me, and I’m unable to comprehend how those comments will sit with black America. I’d be insulted, angry, and offended that hate speech is still allowed and wild accusations are given credence by those who fear an Obama Presidency would somehow differ from that of a white President. Do those that fear Obama expect him to issue a proclamation that white people are now slaves? Or perhaps those that believe he is a Muslim masquerading as a Christian expect him to invite Osama Bin Laden over to the US to serve on his cabinet… What irrational fear do people possess when it pertains to a black man being elected as President of the United States?

Rush Limbaugh represents the past and an era that many of us believed was a matter of history – not the current mindset of the mass of the US population. In fact, I don’t believe it’s the mass, but the fringe of American society that are still ruled by their past prejudices and fear. Limbaugh and those of his ilk prey on the uneducated and people who live in constant fear – a trait that a new study suggests why conservatives are more prone to scare tactics; in simple terms they scare more easily than Liberals. I wish those die-hard Neo-conservatives and right-ring conservatives would open their eyes and examine their own savings and financial health at this moment in our history. Almost everyone is driving less, and our economy is already “bankrupt” in the actual definition of the term. We exist through foreign loans and selling off America bit by bit, and the harsh reality is that we’re an economic hostage to those who are continuing to prop-up our government.

This is a time when the nation needs to set aside the fear and hate mongers who are attempting to turn this Presidential race into something it’s not. Strong condemnations by America’s Liberal and Progressives should attack this obvious attempt to inflame racial hatred, and whites should be just as offended as blacks. This is an attempt to take our eyes off the ball and respond to someone’s paranoia and bigotry – which has nothing to do about the real issues and the direction that many of us who seek change wish to proceed in. There will always be some who will stew in racial hatred, stirred-up by the likes of Limbaugh and others who would prefer to see something happen that would allow Bush to declare martial law and cancel the elections. Rather than acquiescing to the will of the people, Limbaugh attempts to change those who are unfortunate enough to hear his hatred and constant fear mongering. What we are actually hearing is the desperation of a party that is in shambles and now appears willing to incite violence to further their corrupt agenda. “We the people” have to be smart enough to understand that these are desperate measures by desperate people, and they might even turn up the hate rhetoric, hoping to spark anything that will cause more fear and uncertainty among conservatives, many who are leaning toward Obama.

I usually stay away from Presidential politics, however in the upcoming race, to me, it’s too easy to call. No matter which candidate is elected, the winner has an enormous job ahead of him. The stress and activity needed to match the crisis requires someone that is of sound mind and body, and right now, we’re in trouble on multiple fronts. Who of the two is the most fit for duty and offers a real change to America? If McCain, who is of questionable health is elected, who is to say the continuous strain of the Presidency won’t take its toll on McCain, allowing Palin to ascend to the Presidency? The act of choosing an empty suit that will be a heartbeat from the Presidency should be an insult to any American that understands exactly who and what Sarah Palin represents; she is a fundamentalist right-wing Christian that faces her own ethics problems in Alaska, and remember “Darth Vader”, who has the worst public image of any politician in Washington? Palin has some characteristics that could easily equate to Palin representing Dick Cheney in a dress if the opportunity should ever present itself. To those that believe experience is a prerequisite for the Presidency, Palin has none.

On the other hand, if McCain lasted four years as President, he would have to compensate for his memory issues and fend-off the irritability that can come with the strain of the job, and with McCain’s legendary temper and questionable health, it’s a combination that doesn’t bode well for the nation’ future. We don’t need a replay of “Grumpy Old Men” in the White House, so that only leaves one candidate, Barrack Obama, and while he’s not who I originally favored, by comparison to McCain/Palin, the Obama/Biden ticket is the only one which represents any kind of hope for America.

Now that we know at least some members of our Congress were intimidated into voting for corporate welfare with the understanding that if the measure didn’t pass - it was likely Bush would have to declare Martial Law. It was “frighten, scare, claim the global economy would collapse and cause widespread panic, ushering in Martial Law because of our Congress’s inability to act fast while there was still time; It was 911 all over again, but this time, there were no mass causalities except the American and global economies. The casualties will come later, when this measure barely halts the global readjustment that is occurring as the US loses its status of being the world’s most solid economy.

The question we face is what’s next? I hate to ask what could possibly go wrong now, and I’m usually answered rather quickly as something else immediately goes haywire. I believe that for millions of Americans, many are asking themselves that same question; “What’s Next?” We have just witnessed our Congress giving into a President with a 24% approval rating, and in this matter, the people were decidedly against the bail-out, yet it happened anyway, with Nancy Pelosi bellowing that it was crucial that this measure pass. This isn’t Mrs. Pelosi’s first time acting as Bush’s spokesperson, and her “taking impeachment off the table” has endeared her office with that of the Bush administration, effectively rendering her useless as the Democratic Speaker of The House. Pelosi needs to switch her party affiliation or dispose of her “God Syndrome” where she believes that her opinion is more important then those who voted her into office and expect her to vote their will.

Millions of Americans seem to be worried that Bush/Cheney will declare Martial Law sometime before Obama is scheduled to take office unless the GOP effectively steals another election. My site has been very busy lately, and people all over the United States and the world are searching for any information they can find on Martial Law, FEMA Internment Camps, NSPD-51, and the “Thought Crime Prevention Bill.” The government’s recent actions, coupled with the unconstitutional behavior we witnessed at the RNC Convention has many people wondering if freedom is now nothing more than an illusion. On a daily basis, we hear new allegations of the GOP attempting to purge voter rolls and generally disenfranchise voters, behavior we would expect to see emanating from a Third World Country.

The most shocking evidence that we’re going to find ourselves under Martial Law was written by Wayne Madsen – and it’s bone-chilling to understand that this is what many of us on “the left” have been predicting for almost two years or more:

FEMA sources confirm coming martial law

Wayne Madsen
WMR
October 8, 2008

WMR has learned from knowledgeable Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sources that the Bush administration is putting the final touches on a plan that would see martial law declared in the United States with various scenarios anticipated as triggers. The triggers include a continuing economic collapse with massive social unrest, bank closures resulting in violence against financial institutions, and another fraudulent presidential election that would result in rioting in major cities and campuses around the country.

In addition, Army Corps of Engineer sources report that the assignment of the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) to the Northern Command’s U.S. Army North is to augment FEMA and federal law enforcement in the imposition of traffic controls, crowd control, curfews, enhanced border and port security, and neighborhood patrols in the event a national emergency being declared. The BCT was assigned to duties in Iraq before being assigned to the Northern Command.

On April 3, 2008, WMR reported on a highly-classified document regarding the martial law scenario: WMR has learned from knowledgeable sources within the US financial community that an alarming confidential and limited distribution document is circulating among senior members of Congress and their senior staff members that is warning of a bleak future for the United States if it does not quickly get its financial house in order. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is among those who have reportedly read the document. The document is being called the “C & R” document because it reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. “Conflict” is the “C word” in the document. The other scenario is that the federal government will be forced to drastically raise taxes in order to pay off debts to foreign countries to the point that the American people will react with a popular revolution against the government. “Revolution” is the document’s “R word. LINK

When I read the above story, I also verified Wayne Madsen’s Biography – and it’s impressive to the point that we must take the above report seriously. We know the FEMA Internment Camps are in place, manned, yet many of them contain no occupants. There is still a press blackout on this issue, although for the health and safety of the American public, it should be actively debated in Congress. Select members of Congress are aware of these plans yet no one is raising the alarm to the people. Is Congress complicit with turning the United States into a Police State, or are they too terrified and worried about their own safety to act/react???

One thing is sure. In spite of the danger of Martial Law, the “C & R” document described above also describes an extremely alarming scenario: “The document is being called the “C & R” document because it reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. Whether or not we face confinement in internment camps, our concentration should be centered on the document that speaks of a probability of war between Russia, China, and Japan. That may sound far-fetched, however, all of these economies have invested heavily in America – and if their debt is canceled unilaterally, I do see the possibility that as the US economy drags down our allies and enemies – there will be a global hostility aimed at the United States for crashing the world economy that will transcend territorial boundaries.

It was Bush and his greedy cronies that helped to get us into this mess. I agree that this is a crisis that cannot wait until a new President assumes power. We learned from the Great Depression the root of its causes and what is necessary to prevent another one. One thing is certain. Inaction is a guarantee that we will succumb to another Great Depression, however, if we act fast, it can be avoided. I read somewhere on the net this morning that financial representatives were being sent from Obama and McCain’s respective camps to work on a solution that can be implemented immediately. We fell into the last Great Depression because of the government’s failure to act swiftly to stem the tide of financial insolvency that began in Europe, Austria to be exact, which spread to Germany and then the United States. Let the financial wizards from the Obama and McCain camp work this one out; the insane have been running the asylum for far too long. The decisions made today need to be those of our next President, and thankfully, unless another election is stolen, that President will be Barrack Obama.

President Bush can easily declare Martial Law if our economic system fails, and right now, we have no guarantees that it wont. I do note that the White House and Congress is addressing this with all of the significance it deserves; lets hope that George Bush, in his final act as our President, doesn’t declare “null and void” all of our debts to Russia, China, and Japan. It would be the one act of unmitigated insolence that was pre-designed to embroil us in another war – one that earth itself cannot win.

On one web site, I read a plea to the “3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team” to please refrain from shooting or killing American citizens. I would expand that plea to all police officers, federal employees, and the entirety of our law enforcement agencies. Law and order is a prerequisite in this nation, and none of would ask you to shirk from your duties. If people destroy pubic property, they need to be arrested, with the least amount of force possible, and all efforts put forth to keep the peace. It doesn’t mean arresting demonstrators that have done nothing wrong; nor does it justify sneaking off in the very early hours of the morning and rounding-up all of us who are on DHS’s Terrorist Watch List. You can be added to that list for attending a peaceful protest, and Maryland state troopers recently added several people to the terrorist watch list for belonging to “three groups advocating peace and protesting the death penalty.” Better watch these people; they don’t believe in the death penalty and might strap-on bombs and kill people who are for capitol punishment (sic), which would go against everything they believe in. If you’ve sent an email, registered an anonymous comment that is derogatory to the Bush administration, then chances are that you also grace a list that is almost as absurd as the tenants of Patriot Act II and NSPD-51.

To America’s Federal, State, and Local Police Agencies: We are well aware of Operation Falcon and know that plans are in effect to pick-up and detain many citizens that are on the Terrorist Watch List. Consider that while your task force is busily at work, Task Force G-53 arrested your brother and sister for being on that very list you use to arrest innocent Americans. When all of the “dissidents” are rounded-up, placed in internment camps that will eventually lose track of what happened to their prisoners – there will be a huge cry from the very authorities that made these sweeps as they find out many of their own loved ones were also swept-up – although the lists will remain as confidential as possible. Nevertheless, the underground of American society will alert those who lost family members, and the basis for full-scale revolution will be born.

Arizona has already stated they will secede from the Union if Martial Law is declared, and I believe they would be closely followed by Vermont and then a slew of states that demand to retain control of their own sovereignty. The President may believe that he can control the United States through a declaration of Martial Law; however, citizens know that we can weather almost any situation without stripping us of our rights and resorting to measures that only a dictator and hater of freedom would employ.

It’s time to light-up the Congressional phone lines again; the cat is out of the bag and some of the people are aware of how dire our situation is and we, the people of the United States, state that we have an inherent right to know about plans and decisions that affect our freedom and liberty and the direction this country will take if we experience a country-wide or global financial meltdown. Working together as a people we can handle almost any diversity, and to “assume” that we will only act in the best interests of our country only under a declaration of Martial Law is an affront to every American citizen, here and abroad. Call Congress, demand that they bring this important issue to the forefront and quit deciding our collective future behind closed doors. If you value your liberty and freedom, and want to assure that decisions are made that address ALL of America’s citizens, it’s time to bombard Congress and demand, until they comply, to bring this Martial Law issue into the public domain.

William Cormier

Note: For the health and welfare of those who may be swept-up upon a declaration of Martial Law, which is virtually anyone that has been an outspoken critic of the Bush administration, either under an anonymous name or your real one, NSA knows where we all live and function. I believe that we need to establish a national register of people that believe they could be on the list. It may not prevent your incarceration, but in the end, whoever comes to their sanity and rectifies this situation would have a viable list of names to search for, especially since it’s rumored that some of the Internment Camps have furnaces. If the Fourth Reich is beginning to rise, you can believe that it will be accompanied by some of the same atrocities we witnessed in World War II.

Update: This article, and the information source quoted herein has been picked-up by the Boston Globe in an article entitled:

Postponing the election: It’s a joke, or is it?

While I believe the Globe article could have dug deeper, the readership did it themselves, and the comments at the end of the article represent a public that isn’t being fooled by MSM attempts to downplay significant events that could affect the health and welfare of America’s citizens. Even though I wish the article would have been based more on the facts contained within the “source documents” – I still give the Globe Kudos for publishing an issue that the MSM has refused to cover or give it the emphasis it deserves. The total lack of Congressional oversight on this issue is breathtaking, unconstitutional, and an insult to every American that believes in our Constitution and the rule of law.

I’ve been away a few days, in a news blackout except what I could read in USA Today – and the events that have unfolded are astounding, discouraging, an affront to the United States Constitution, and an unmitigated disaster to the American and global economy. It’s hard to believe that in so few days, five to be exact – our Congress, against the will of the majority of the people of the United States, have embraced a financial bailout that caters to the wealthy/corporations and leaves the rest of us to fend for ourselves. What came as not too great of a surprise, except that someone had the courage to report it, was that our Congress was threatened with the imposition of Martial Law if they didn’t pas the bail-out plan! Some of this may sound impossible to believe, however, it appears the other shoe has dropped, and the Bush administration has taken off the “Velvet Gloves” of fascism and now appear ready to assume the authoritarian “I’m the Decider” mantra that many believe will occur before any newly elected President can assume the mantle of power. This frightening news that Congress was intimidated and coerced into passing this egregious Bill has been reported in other publications, and it appears to be true rather than a rumor. You can find substantiation and other sites who are reporting the same story, with substantiation, here:

There’s No Difference Between Martial Law And the Threat Of Martial Law

US Congresspeople Told Martial Law Would Be Imposed if Bailout Bill Didn’t Pass

Oct 7 – Congressmen threatened with martial law if bailout didn’t pass

Representatives Were Threatened with “Martial Law” if Bailout Bill Did Not Pass

When the enormity of the situation sinks into your most inner thoughts, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Greens, you name it, there should not be anyone in our political spectrum that shouldn’t be enraged that our own Congress was blatantly blackmailed, and this time, there is a trail of their treachery against The United States.

I could list more, but from the video and substantiation that was presented, it’s obvious that Bush and Cheney are tightening their grip on every segment of our nation, and are systematically destroying our proven way of governance, our checks and balances where all government agencies are accountable, but the “Decider” seems to be believe that his history of underachieving will somehow reverse itself, and decisions must be made in regard our economy that also take into consideration the middle-class and America’s poor and disadvantaged. So far, this huge segment of our population has been virtually ignored and Congress has been immersed, under orders from the Bush Administration, to come forward with a plan that uses taxpayer dollars to bail-out the elitists who contributed to this financial meltdown based on their poor and many times unscrupulous business transactions. In this matter, we are actually rewarding those who contributed to our demise, handing those responsible for our financial crisis even more money, which they still stubbornly refuse to loan and help to end the credit crunch that is virtually stalling our economy.

I read yesterday that a “Jobless father kills family, self.” The sheer despair of seeing years of hard work turn to financial disaster is bringing many to the edge, tempers are flaring, and family life with an economy that is bleeding middle-class America is beginning to reach nightmarish proportions. One of the victims of the jobless father was his “19-year-old son Krishna Rajaram, a Fulbright Scholar and honor student at UCLA (Emphasis added).” At the onset of the Great Depression, it was the wealthy who watched their fortunes evaporate that committed suicide, unable to face the world as an average man; the thought of forging on for some without their wealth was too much to bear… This time around, the wealthy are being protected, and it’s the middle-class and the poor who are taking it on the the chin – and it’s stressful to us too, as many of us face homelessness and live within margins that could spell financial doom when any bad month presents itself.

Knowing that our complicit Congress will embrace almost anything Bush demands, it wasn’t a huge surprise to find out that the “Federal Reserve to buy loans crucial to business to unfreeze markets.” This supposedly, will ease the credit crunch that is strangling our nation.

Paranoia even between banks is apparent when we learn that banks are reluctant to loan to other banks. As always, everything rolls downhill, and for the American consumer, credit is now reserved for those with excellent credit – not the sub-prime credit that countless millions of Americans remain in and now, find themselves becoming mired in an endless stream of bills that are impossible to pay as everything we attempt to shop for in a double-digit inflation economy makes us face prices that have risen to the point where one paper has advised families to “eat more Ramen Noodles.”

The last I heard of the Bail-out was that it was 700 Billion with another few Billion expected to be added later; what I saw that emerged as a Bill to help the economy was a joke, loaded with Pork at a time that we as a people are finding it hard to feed our families. Those are your tax dollars at work. The majority of you were against this bail-out, (Some figures place public disapproval between 80 and 95%.) yet again our Congress acquiesced to the Lobbyists and Special Interest Groups rather than the people, and an absurd plan that was already stealing 700 Billion Dollars from the American taxpayer grew to an estimated final cost which could exceed 10 Trillion Dollars! Without doubt or question, this is robbery without a gun using the legislature to “appropriate” tax dollars that are being handed to corporate America. It’s taxation without representation and every Senator or Representative that voted for this affront on the poor and middle-class America should be reminded of who it was that eventually sold us down the river when they come up for re-election.

When someone says the Bush administration and the economy make them sick, it may be more than an expression, as Americans are lying awake in bed at night, anger easily at other family members and are less productive at work. Stress in regard the economy is a major factor in the majority of American lives (80%) as we attempt to adjust to living in a country that was bankrupted because of its imperialism and the actions of a “”C Average President.”

(CNN) — If you’re lying awake at night, feeling angry or fatigued, because of stress, you’re in the majority, according to a nationwide report released Tuesday.

Mounting anxieties led 60 percent of poll respondents to report that they’re feeling angry and irritable, 53 percent reported feeling fatigued and 52 percent said they lie awake at night.

As many as 47 percent reported having headaches, 35 percent had upset stomachs and 34 percent experienced muscular tension because of stress.

“We have a significant number of people reporting physical signs and symptoms of stress: muscle tension, headache, difficulty falling asleep,” Nordal said. “Stress warning signs should be ringing all over the place. One of the interesting things is while the majority of Americans thought they’re managing stress well, many were reporting physical symptoms.” MUCH MORE

Two failed wars, the second of which caused global oil prices to skyrocket and the US’s housing bust has brought financial markets throughout the world to the brink of disaster:

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US and European authorities launched fresh initiatives Tuesday to break the grip of a global credit crunch, but the moves failed to boost market confidence as Wall Street and other stock markets sank to new lows.

The US Federal Reserve said it would buy up short-term commercial paper or company debt in an effort to kick-start credit flows and ease a squeeze in bank lending, a move it described as “necessary to prevent substantial disruptions to the financial markets and the economy.”

Despite the dramatic move by the Fed and new actions in Europe, markets ran into new turbulence a day after a meltdown in most stock markets.

For the bulk of the American population, President Bush and the Neo-conservative policies he has followed has changed life within these United States, perhaps forever – and even America’s remaining middle-class are now beginning to shop at thrift stores in order to conserve every conceivable dollar. We now drive less, buy less expensive beer and alcohol, plan our vacations closer to home – and the nation is hunkering down for the anticipated recession/depression that is being forecast by economists throughout the world.

Thrift stores: We’re seeing more middle-class shoppers

COLUMBIA, Missouri (AP) — Forget about the outdated notion of thrift shops as the refuge of the working poor, the down and out or the vintage fashion hipster. In these troubled times, the powerful lure of a secondhand retail bargain is attracting a whole new breed of customer.

The Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries International, the nation’s two largest charitable resale organizations, report year-to-date sales increases of 6 percent to 15 percent.

The gains are even more pronounced in the private sector. In an industry trade group survey of more than 200 resale and thrift shops, nearly two-thirds of those businesses reported higher sales in 2008 compared to the previous year. The average sales increase: 35 percent. MORE

The Jury is in; we’re in a serious recession that could reach the magnitude of the Great Depression. What we must do is two-fold. First, when a new President is elected and if Bush/Cheney release their grip on power, it is vital that Congress and the American people are taught a brief course in economics and history from our own past. We cannot survive as a “Service Based Economy.” Our homes are priced and valued on the economy of yesteryear – when industry and manufacturing flourished in the United States – and besides many of our products being superior, it has always been “Yankee Ingenuity” that has solved some of the most important questions of the 20th Century.

Like it or not, if the United States is to scratch our way back to a financial superpower – or even bring our economy back to a place where “average Americans” can buy homes and are not punished for a financial implosion that none of us had anything to do with. This is Washington’s mess; some say it is well-planned and falls into the realm of “The New Word Order.” I try to stick with facts that are easily substantiated so the reader can assure him/herself that what they are reading is not mere speculation, but carefully researched points indicate Martial Law could still be lingering on the horizon.

We have to bring home our industry and manufacturing. If not, the corporations will go broke too, although we know that they have socked enough money away to weather any storm that may come our way, they must understand that a strong American economy is the only way to uphold our power and prestige throughout the world. We are faced with too many problems that were caused by our own greed. Corporations, led by Wal-Mart, attempted to squeeze every penny they could from every vendor, and when the vendors wouldn’t or couldn’t comply with Wal-Mart’s demands, the business was outsourced to another country where labor was not an issue – and through our shortsightedness, we built-up our enemies and other economies while destroying our own… Enough is enough!!!!

We can survive in a global economy even with our higher labor costs because when we put our will and back into it – the US is known to be innovators and provide some of the most reliable products in the world. How many of you buy at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart and a host of other stores and have noticed a trend that is becoming a reality in the global marketplace. We buy products that have a one (1) year parts and labor warranty, and for the past five or six years, I have noticed that many
‘new products” were malfunctioning soon after their one year warranty. It’s reminiscent of the American automobile; years ago American cars were manufactured to last an average of 50 to 60 thousand miles. The industry anticipated consumer’s trading in their cars on a regular basis, therefore they were not manufactured to standards that in the Orient, cars were being manufactured that would last in excess of 100,000 thousand miles. (It’s too bad that our own auto makers didn’t respond sooner and understand that as much as new cars cost now, we expect them to last a minimum of a 100 Thousand miles with normal maintenance. We can recapture the bulk of US auto sales, but only if Detroit finally understands why they have been getting their butts whipped by foreign manufacturers.)

The automobile was so entrenched in the American economy that regular trade-ins were the model for successful automobile sales. Our other products were different; you could purchase a TV, toaster, and a host of other household appliances and many would work year after year. sometimes for decades – and American quality was the standard for the world. We are still the best, but we have placed our manufacturing capabilities in locations that are only intended to bolster the corporate bottom-line. Our corporations need a wake-up call. With an economy teetering on utter collapse, it’s time for corporate America to re-evaluate their position and understand that we have a symbiotic relationship; when one does well, so does the other. This unmitigated greed being manifested by corporate America will be their own demise unless they wake-up and re-invest in America. The housing crunch will only get worse, and when the average home in the United States is over “$195,900, down 8.2% from $213,500 in February 2007.” Common sense dictates that in order to solve this housing crisis, it’s imperative that the people can make wages that will purchase homes that for now, are far out of reach of the bulk of the population.

Since wages are stagnant, and every day, more and more people are unable to pay their mortgage(s), it becomes obvious that outsourcing and two wars were events that caused the housing collapse. They can blame it on sub-prime loans all they want, but when the core of the middle-class is struggling to pay their mortgages, and many have (or Had) good credit, and on a daily basis, many of those solid Americans are finding out they are unable to make ends meet – the housing crisis grows deeper by the day…

We have spent Billions that will wind up to be Trillions of taxpayer money to bail-out corporate America. They receive our tax dollars, and still – they refuse to loan to other banks. Like the tax breaks that were handed out to corporate America so they could re-invest in their companies, we found out how they intended to do so – by raping our economy and bolstering third-world countries who will one day challenge us for the mantle of power. Most American businesses pay little or no tax at all – absolutely insane when our nation needs all of the tax revenue it can muster.

My Mother passed away last month, and I was going through her personal effects and I came across gas stamps and sugar vouchers that were used in World War II. Historically, when the nation is at war and it’s an expensive war, great Presidents get their constituency behind them and request that Americans conserve and contribute to the war effort as much as possible so its end can become a quick reality. Where other great Presidents requested that the nation conserve in a time of war, our President has lied to us several times and stated the economy was strong, and instead of asking us to conserve – he asked us to spend more. When we are literally spending billions of dollars per day on two separate wars, common-sense glaringly shouts that tax decreases are not the answer – that if the war is to be paid for, it can only be accomplished by asking all of us to conserve and contribute to the effort – as long a we know it will not remain an open-ended conflict. Our past tax structure, where the ultra-wealthy paid their fair hare of taxes, it was much easier to raise federal revenue to finance whatever it is we’re involve in.

President Bush’s economic mistakes are wonderful for perhaps the top 1 to 2 percent of our population, but for the health of the nation as a whole, for all practical purposes, Bush and Cheney have bankrupted the nation. I hear all of this talk about Martial Law, I vividly see that our own administration is the epitome of corruption, yet nobody in Congress has the courage to do anything about it. We have millions of federal employees in all segments of the government, and if they review the time when they were hired, all had to pledge their loyalty to the job, but being federal positions, they were also sworn to uphold and protect the tenants of The United States Constitution. This includes our military, the FBI, and every Federal Agency imaginable. I have hopes that if this administration renders an unconstitutional declaration of Martial Law, either via a severe economic collapse, or through a real or false-flag terrorist event – the people will see through it. There may be hesitation at first, but our nation is becoming accustomed to Bush’s politics of fear – and while some of those fears may be correct, in my opinion, the greatest danger this country faces is from within – not Al Qaeda or any other terrorist group. Those are isolated attacks. The attacks on our constitution and the transfer of America’s middle-class wealth to the rich is enough to make anyone sick. No wonder we’re stressed-out and lie awake at night! Bush has his hands in everything, even those matters he doesn’t understand himself, so we can only surmise that he is working to further the interests of everyone but the average American – the people Bush appears to hold in the highest contempt, even so much so that he has knowingly destroyed what took over 200 years to create. Don’t let it happen. Enough is enough!

I remain a harsh critic of President Bush, and even though I have been one of the many thousands who have criticized his bail-out plans, I do understand that from the standpoint of leadership and our commitment to the global banking system, a real “bail-out plan” must be created. Raw Story echoed some of the panic that is still rampant in the global financial markets, and we in the United States must also take action to help in the efforts to shore-up our entire banking system.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The Senate plans to vote on the $700 billion bank rescue plan Wednesday evening – two days after the House failed to pass it.

The bill adds new provisions – including raising the FDIC insurance cap from $100,000 to $250,000 – and will be attached to an existing revenue bill that the House also rejected Monday, according to several Democratic leadership aides.

The vote is scheduled for after sundown, in observance of the Jewish holiday. Republican presidential nominee John McCain and Democratic nominee Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden confirmed that they would be present for the vote. MORE

Even though we have an obligation to do whatever we can, there’s nothing in our or international law which indicates this “help” must come from the American taxpayer. We haven’t pursued other causes of action and solutions; everyone’s too caught-up in Bush’s fear-factor ram-it through-Congress plan to consider anything else which could be less harmful to the American public. This is a major crisis and we need to hear from the best economic minds in the country, a panel independent of the Bush administration and structured to ensure that a secret Bush representative doesn’t slip in to muddy-up the waters. A situation that is this serious requires measured action, based on the advice of our top experts who are allowed to speak with a non-partisan viewpoint, presenting Congress with several different suggestions that don’t rape the American taxpayer.

Bush warns of worsening economic crisis

Published: Tuesday September 30, 2008

US President George W. Bush vowed to fight to rescue the US economy on Tuesday as world leaders pressed for action after Congress blocked a 700 billion dollar bailout.

As global markets again reeled from the fallout of the financial crisis, central banks pumped out more billions and European governments rescued another bank, Bush declared that the rejection of the rescue plan was “not the end.”

“The reality is that we are in an urgent situation, and the consequences will grow worse each day if we do not act,” he said.

Moments later, Wall Street opened with a rally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index rising 1.0 percent after its huge 7.0 percent fall Monday.

Globally, markets went haywire, however, gyrating wildly as traders look for direction and because the vital money market for banks has been strangled for days. MUCH MORE A good story you don’t want to miss.

There’s a part of me that yearns for the good old days, when in a similar situation, the tar and feathers would be delivered to Washington to ride those out on a rail that had been negligent in their duty. It would be a long procession, but imagine at the end if Bush and Cheney were scooped-up and flown to The Hague for crimes against humanity. Picture them covered with tar and feathers being handed-over in a flurry of picture-taking and global publicity – and if that image doesn’t bring a smile to your face I don’t know what will! The brutal truth is that Americans need to feel that through the past seven years and nine months we have watched in horror as our country was turned into something unrecognizable, a snarling beast that believed everything could be accomplished though war and intimidation. Millions lost their jobs through outsourcing, and millions more lost them because our economy is shrinking so rapidly. Before this is over, the American people must be able to point to an event or radical change that gave them the satisfaction of witnessing the criminals who caused this catastrophe receive their just due; it’s called closure, and this nation and the world desperately need to put enemies of liberty and freedom back where they are the exception rather than the rule, and their behavior is shunned and reviled as what caused this nation to ultimately fail. Thank goodness we aren’t governed by Sharia Law! Notwithstanding the beheadings, we would see a huge number of “moneychangers” with only one hand left, and in some cases, many would have no hands at all!

As it stands today, our economy is likely legally bankrupt, and with the current leadership we have in the House and Senate, the probability of reaching settlement that won’t include taxpayer dollars will be a miracle – but it’s one that we have to push for, with every ounce of ingenuity we can muster. Look at the reality of the situation. Our housing market is priced as it was before America began outsourcing its jobs, minus a few thousand on each individual home as prices continue to fall. If we remain a service based economy where we accept that it’s OK to outsource the heart of our economy, our downward financial spiral is bound to continue.

Remember when Bush lectured us on tax breaks for the rich, and how allowing them to have these breaks would give them the chance to invest much needed capitol into their corporations? Yes, many of them did invest into their corporations, using the money to build off-shore manufacturing centers so they could improve their bottom line while destroying the economy of the United States. Now, the bulk of US corporations pay little or no taxes at all. They also built tax-havens into their new investments, making sure they were contributing exactly nothing to the government and people who helped to build and allow them to become financial giants. The corporations that America’s blood, sweat and tears helped to build are now helping other countries to prosper while they turn their back on America, ungrateful, unconscionable curs hardly worth mentioning.

When we look at restructuring America to make us self-sufficient again, we must not forget America’s farmers! We can easily produce enough our of own food to feed our citizens, and a secure food supply is something that should be demanded for America’s National Security. Time and time again, we have witnessed where the Chinese have had to deal with tainted food products, and this time it struck them internally more than externally, and thousands of Chinese babies are ill and I’m not sure how many have died – a national tragedy for China, and another wake-up call for the US who imports huge volumes of food and food products from China. Just a few days ago I read where a tainted candy product from China had made its way into the United States, and that is absolutely unacceptable!

What if a product with additives materializes that takes months to show-up in our systems, but by the time it does, it’s too late to rectify the damage? what then? With so many violations, many of which have affected our children, why are we still purchasing massive amount of food, food products, and pharmaceuticals from China? It’s time that we tighten-up regulations that govern our food supply and make it mandatory that we again cultivate and harvest most of the food that Americans consume. Small farmers need to be able to contribute and receive fair prices for their goods instead of being run out of business by their larger competitors, and we need to view it as our continuing effort(s) to rebuild America’s economy. Returning to American grown food as the standard would cause several other supplementary businesses to re-open as our system re-adapts to handling and packaging our own food supply. Just in this sector, the economic benefits for Americans are easy to see, and a huge amount of jobs would be created to revitalize our food supply chain.

If the White House wants to revitalize the American economy, then it’s a a matter of rebuilding what we have laid to waste, creating tax programs that reward Americans for “buying American”. We could reinvent our economy to compensate for changes forced upon us by a global economy and once again claim our place as the world’s most prosperous economy. It would be a long haul and easy it won’t be; rebuilding America will take money, and the construction jobs and high-tech jobs necessary for her reconstruction will again flourish in a society right now where an architect may be serving your family a McDonald’s Hamburger. The credit crunch is making it much harder for students to get loans, and this is a situation that has to be corrected immediately. American corporations are already abusing the VISA Program and foreigners who have the same credentials are replacing their American counterparts and work for an average of Thirteen Thousand dollars (($13,000.00) less per year than their American counterparts, and American businesses hire as many of these lost-cost laborers as they legally can – and they are constantly pushing for more! Corporate greed appears to be the single-most important factor in the destruction of our economy, and there are cases when that greed has bordered on and at times crossed the lines of American law. Greed and treason appear to be bedfellows, and while it will be history and future historians who judge America’s corporate giants, some as we know, reek of war-profiteering and gains made from illegal monopolies.

As a nation, somehow the American people have to reconnect with corporate America. If they don’t make the effort and remember their roots (corporations), then it’s time that we draft guidelines for corporate behavior that supports our belief in the American people and this country before the interests of other countries, especially those who are staunch critics of the United States. If corporations reply they are private entities and feel they are immune from such meddling, then perhaps its time to drag-out some of our anti-trust and anti-monopoly laws that our government has been ignoring. Maybe the size of a corporation breeds the vicious type(s) of behavior that our corporations have been leveling toward the people – their customers, and it might behoove us as a society to severely curtail the size of individual corporations. We cannot rebuild a nation with the current attitude of Wall Street and even that of our Congress, who acquiesce to most of the “Corapacys” desires which in almost all cases is detrimental to the people. If our nation weathers this current coup attempt, changes will have to be made to our corporate hierarchy, and in-between, there has to be a place for the average American.

The Rich Are Staging a Coup This Morning …a message from Michael Moore

Friends,

Let me cut to the chase. The biggest robbery in the history of this country is taking place as you read this. Though no guns are being used, 300 million hostages are being taken. Make no mistake about it: After stealing a half trillion dollars to line the pockets of their war-profiteering backers for the past five years, after lining the pockets of their fellow oilmen to the tune of over a hundred billion dollars in just the last two years, Bush and his cronies — who must soon vacate the White House — are looting the U.S. Treasury of every dollar they can grab. They are swiping as much of the silverware as they can on their way out the door.

No matter what they say, no matter how many scare words they use, they are up to their old tricks of creating fear and confusion in order to make and keep themselves and the upper one percent filthy rich. Just read the first four paragraphs of the lead story in last Monday’s New York Times and you can see what the real deal is:

“Even as policy makers worked on details of a $700 billion bailout of the financial industry, Wall Street began looking for ways to profit from it.

“Financial firms were lobbying to have all manner of troubled investments covered, not just those related to mortgages.

“At the same time, investment firms were jockeying to oversee all the assets that Treasury plans to take off the books of financial institutions, a role that could earn them hundreds of millions of dollars a year in fees.

“Nobody wants to be left out of Treasury’s proposal to buy up bad assets of financial institutions.”

Unbelievable. Wall Street and its backers created this mess and now they are going to clean up like bandits. Even Rudy Giuliani is lobbying for his firm to be hired (and paid) to “consult” in the bailout. MUCH MORE, A Tell it like it is summation of today’s crisis.

We have been fleeced by the best, from so-called religious leaders that were in Bush’s pocket to some of our most prominent national and international business leaders. There are decisions that do not have to involve public money, and those decisions equate to these companies writing off their loses, and if they go bankrupt, that would be business, not the concern of the American people. These CEO’s that are in a downward spiral most be watched, and we must be diligent in our efforts that none of them escape with personal profit from business that was based on the suffering of individual Americans. The “Fleecing of America” was not a phenomena based on war-profiteers alone, but any business that was favored by this administration has received little or no oversight at all. The Justice Department forgot what the anti-trust laws were, and corporate America was allowed to plunder our country, and to add insult to injury, they weren’t required to pay a nickel in taxes. As the blame is starting to become public knowledge, Bush will only be one player among thousands that have been complicit in the robbery of America. As Michael Moore pointed out, this is a coup attempt by America’s rich, and if they don’t succeed, we know who each and every one of them are. This is war, a class war that has been brewing since the days of Prescott Bush, and the fascists are battling with everything they have to topple democracy and make the United States their personal Kingdom. This “class war” is real, and the outcome will forever change the face of the United States. The very essence of freedom and liberty are at stake, so we must expect every sort of deception, especially as it concerns statements made by the government.

Our Mainstream News Media is corporate controlled, and we can expect their message to be exactly that of the White House with small variances. Fox News will continue as the government mouthpiece and their rhetoric will increasingly become more radical and violent. Bush is itching to try-out his new non-lethal crowd control to be administered by our own armed forces against civilian targets, and we have to wonder what happened to sanity in government or even a passing respect for our constitution. If you really understand how our government is supposed to work, understanding how it is working should bring shudders to anyone that understands that virtually all of our laws have been circumvented by President Bush and Dick Cheney.

This is the real deal and the challenge, perhaps one of many more to come, that President Bush, supposedly on his way out, is attempting to burden rather than lighten the load of the average American that is beginning to crumble under the pressure. His bail-out plan has been written to comply with the K Street Lobbyists, and those who vote for the legislation are apt to profit handsomely for backing a measure that is counter-productive to saving our ailing economy. Today is one of those days, a day that people concerned about their country burn-up the phone lines between home and Washington and give them a piece of your mind. Tell them you’re angry, this is rewarding greed with Taxpayer money and you don’t want any part of it. Tell them that it’s taxation without representation, exactly why we declared our Independence from England over two centuries ago; it was good enough for our forefathers, and if the crime is the same, it should trigger the same outrage and anger that it did among men whose greatness was partially contained in their burning desire to be free men, a concept that was virtually unknown back when our nation was first forming. History does repeat itself, and now we find ourselves asking the same questions we did over two hundred years ago. Taxation without representation and the theft of billions of tax dollars are enough to spark the ire of anyone that claims to be a patriotic American.

Don’t forget the power of email, and if enough of us let it fly, we can make a notable mark on the nations email system. The phone should be our first line of offense, and make sure they don’t just brush you off. We have a right to call, but even more importantly, we have a right to make enough calls to sway those who are considering giving into President Bush and ultimately, helping to move us a step closer to a full fascist state. Say no to taxpayer bailouts and state clearly that it’s a form of fascism, not socialism, and we don’t want either one of them. A viable solution can be worked out, and just because Bush is screaming that it’s a national emergency, it makes it all the wiser to have an independent board of award-winning economists view the issue and lets hear what they have to say on the matter and then act in a way that is good for the whole of the United States, not just the corporations and wealthy..

Yesterday, Americans emailed and called Congress until the email system came to a crashing halt. If Congress does pass this egregious Bill, they won’t be able to say they didn’t know the public was so strongly against it, and they risk their political future(s) by defying their constituents:

House of Representatives’ Web site overwhelmed

# Web sites of the House of Representatives are overwhelmed with e-mails
# Administrators implement the “digital version of a traffic cop” to handle the overload
# “This is unprecedented,” says a House spokesman
# Overload began Sunday as legislators said bailout agreement was posted online

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The servers hosting the Web sites of the House of Representatives and its members have been overwhelmed with millions of e-mails in the past few days, forcing administrators to implement the “digital version of a traffic cop” to handle the overload.

As more people gained access to the page and details of the bailout proposal were published in the news media, constituents then started to e-mail their representatives, Ventura explained.

“We know it’s in the millions,” he said of the number of e-mails that lawmakers in the House have been receiving. “But we haven’t counted yet, because when you’re about to get hit by a tidal wave, you don’t count the drops of water in the wave.”

After the House failed to pass the proposed deal Monday by a vote of 228-205, the e-mail volume surged again, Ventura said. MUCH MORE

Here is a link for phone numbers and email addresses for anyone who wants to contact Congress. I don’t care if you forward them a copy of this article, just register your dissatisfaction with bailing-out our private corporations out with public money – and remember they are only assistants who have nothing to do with the decision making process. Listed below are all of the phone numbers for your appropriate Congressman/woman, and remember, some key members deserve calls whether they fall in your Congressional District or not. This is an older list, but the expediency purposes it’s important to keep up the heat and keep pounding Congress so they understand that “the people” are watching, and a bail-out that uses taxpayer money will create a chasm between our legislators and the people who voted them into office which will only serve to remind Americans that our Congress is refusing to represent us – and none who voted for this Bill will be forgotten.

See The White House Phone Directory (May 18, 2007). Because I figure the regular switchboard might be busy tomorrow, but if you’ve got the White House phone directory, you can just work your way down until somebody picks up. (Actually, in the spirit of CD interviewing people, it might be more interesting and fun to say “Hi! I write for ______________. Do you think that Libby’s commuted sentence involved obstruction of justice? Why or why not?”)

Most of the numbers in the Directory match what I’ve been able to glean from open sources, so it looks authentic. The offices are taken from the White House site, and the numbers are formatted like so: 1-202-555-1212 / 1-202-555-1212, where the first number is via internet search, and the second, italic number is from the Directory:
The offices included in the Executive Office of the President.

Naturally, if you call the White House to express your disapprobation in the matter of I.
